Soundscape

  1. You did a nice job of creating something larger than a mess of sounds. I sense a real story that moves and develops as your soundscape unfolds. It was a nice touch to make the last thirty seconds or so quieter than the rest. It gave a sense of contrast in size compared to the sounds in the first minute. The sounds of flowing water at the beginning were nicely placed because the first picture was of a body floating in water. The dog barking sounded like it was manipulated because there was reverb on it. It gave a real sense of space because it sounded hollow. Like a dog was barking in an empty arena, or some other large hollow place. This effect made me feel like I was transported to a different setting than before. It is important to use spatial manipulation because otherwise, the listener could feel like they are cramped up in one mood for too long.
